Become a TSA Advisor
Are you interested in enhancing your career and technical education (CTE) program and inspiring your students to become STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) leaders? Consider the Technology Student Association (TSA) to achieve these goals. Serving as a TSA chapter advisor means that you and your members are part of a national career and technical student organization (CTSO) that promotes and recognizes excellence in STEM
Competitive Events
Each year TSA brings together leading technology and engineering educators with hands-on classroom experience to revise, review, and develop competitions at the middle or high school level. All middle school competitions and high school competitions are correlated with national STEM standards, and have detailed scoring criteria for judging. All TSA competitions—73 competitive events, with 62 converted to a virtual format—can be implemented at the local, state, and national levels.
Leadership
TSA believes acquiring 21st-century leadership skills is critical to the success of young people and integrates these aptitudes in over 70 TSA competitions. These leadership skills are specifically tailored for each competitive event and evaluated based on official rules and rubrics. Additionally, TSA offers its members leadership development activities, for use virtually and in the classroom, based on the 21st-century skills.
Conferences
The State Leadership Conference provides student members with the opportunity to apply and test their STEM skills; then members may choose to attend and/or compete at the annual National TSA Conference. Membership in TSA is required to participate at any TSA event at the local, state, or national level.
